I have mixed feelings, 'cause on the one hand I understand they don't want this game to take 6 hours like some games of Risk could - but on the other there's almost no point to worrying about territory because trading cards totally out paces everything else. I wish there was some kind of options for the card rules, because it takes some of the strategy out of the game when it all comes down to.
